A Prayer for Relationships: Unity & Peace

LORD, I cover myself, my children, our future spouses, our church, our family, our friends, and our neighbors with prayer. Like dew on Mount Hermon may Your peace descend upon us, that we may experience the goodness and the pleasantness of dwelling in unity. (Ps. 133:1-3) “Let the peace of Christ rule” in our hearts (Col. 3:15), that we may “pursue the things which make for peace” and build one another up. (Rom. 14:19) Grant us humility (Gal. 5:26) and sure footing, that we would be anchored and not tossed about (Eph. 4:14), able to love well, in deed and truth (1 John 3:18), determined to “not put an obstacle or a stumbling block” in another’s way. (Rom. 14:13) Help us “stimulate one another to love and good deeds,” and encourage each other more and more. (Heb. 10:24-25) Let us care for one another (1 Cor. 12:25), with one mind, maintaining love, united in spirit, intent on the singular purpose of Christ. (Phil. 2:2-4)

Amen
