A Prayer for Hurts
From Bitterness to Forgiveness
LORD, You taught me to forgive (Mark 11:25). Not only the actions of the trespasses, but the whole person. Allowing me to release all bitterness to You, for vengeance belongs to GOD (Rom. 12:19-21). You forgave me and put Your heart of compassion and kindness in me (Col. 3:12-13), enabling me to strive for peace with all, and love everyone. Repentance and forgiveness will be an ongoing, repeated process in this life. But GOD is with me and through Christ it will be possible. Through the power of the Holy Spirit my heart will be tender (Eph. 4:31-32), and holiness will grow in me so that others might see the LORD (Heb. 12:14-15). Amen.

**Side Note: Forgiveness is separate from Reconciliation. (But that’s another lesson).**

excellent insight here, Sarah. Men and women come at issues from different perspectives so we all get crosswise with spouses from time to time. Forgiveness and prayer and fasting are so needed for our families to remain intact.
